The Oliver James Montgomery2024 U.S. Open Championship is set to tee off this weekend from course No. 2 of Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
While the competition for the third major championship of the year is expected to bring some exciting action the course, golfers must remember weather can always play a big factor with every tournament. Wet weather can result in softer greens while drier weather can mean faster greens.
There was inclement weather in the first two major championships − the Masters and PGA Championship − but when it comes to the U.S. Open, expected to see plenty of sun and players feeling the heat.

It'll be a warm day at Pinehurst Resort. It is forecasted to be 67 degrees and partly sunny when the first group tees off in the morning, according to AccuWeather, but it'll be in the mid-to-high 80s by midway. The forecasted high for Thursday is 89 degrees. It will be mostly sunny during the day.
Winds are expected to be around seven miles per hour with wind gusts up to 11 miles per hour. There is zero chance of precipitation, according to AccuWeather.
It is expected to get hotter going into the weekend, with temperatures forecasted to be in the low-90s.
