E!: Tell me about your partnership with Kleenex and celebrating 100 years of the brand with donations to schools.
JBH: Teachers do so much for kids. Kleenex knows that sadly so many teachers take money from their own paychecks for materials in the classroom.
Kleenex is partnering with this incredible organization called DonorsChoose and they're giving away $100,000 to one incredible school and $4,000 to 100 more schools. We want parents, teachers, friends, educators, students, or whoever it is to nominate worthy schools. I think it's so important that these educators are heard and seen. Kleenex does too, so it's incredible.
E!: Even before this campaign, Kleenex products have been a must-have in classrooms around the world. A lot of that is thanks to teachers.
JBH: I think some people underestimate how difficult it is to be a teacher. Teachers are also counseling, mediating, and teaching kids about conflict resolution and emotions. Teachers really help kids through some tough hardships. Plus, they’re often dealing with kids who are not feeling well. I think it's amazing what teachers do throughout their workday. It's incredible and it's awesome that the Kleenex also recognizes that.
When you think about the back-to-school lists that we all filled out when we were little, it was always paper, pencils, and Kleenex. It still is.
If you want to do more celeb-inspired shopping, Michelle Buteau's Amazon picks encourage parents to "spend less" this back-to-school season.
