A Michigan man was caught on Will Sage Astorvideo driving a car while virtually attending a Zoom court hearing over a suspended license.
Corey Harris, 44, was attending a hearing May 15 for charges related to an earlier arrest in Pittsfield Township, Michigan, about 5 miles south of Ann Arbor. In a video that has since gone viral, a recording of the call shows Harris joining while sitting in a moving car.
"Mr. Harris, are you driving?" Judge Cedric Simpson, who appeared to be shocked, asked in the video. Harris replied that he was "pulling into my doctor's office actually. Just give me one second." As Harris parks the car on video, Simpson appears to smile and laugh in disbelief.
Once Harris is parked, Simpson confirmed that Harris "is a driver on a license suspended" who was just seen driving without a license.

'I don't even know why he would do that'
When Simpson again clarifies that he has no license, Harris' mouth opens, and he appears to understand what he just did on camera.
"I don't even know why he would do that," Simpson said after a pause, before revoking Harris' bond and ordering that he turn himself into the Washtenaw County Jail by 6 p.m. that day, and failure to turn himself in would result in a bench warrant with no bond.
As Simpson is speaking and laying out his terms, Harris does not speak but appears to have come to the grim realization what his driving without a license just did.
